I started doing an includes.js which includes all the js files that load also did the same thing with the css files. I think this way is even better than having all the js and css files exposed.

Cheers

No, minified css and javascript means the theme is not easily customized and that is quite bad. The user must have access to the css and js files to easily modify whatever he needs.
That’s obviously not what i’m talking about, however, we’re offtopic since the point of this thread is to share rejection rules rather than argue whether they should be in place or not.

Why dont we “Authors” Build a wiki page off this thread and share our rejection and soft rejection reasons and update them frequently with suggested solutions

1. Don’t unregister default widgets, even if they are replaced with better versions.

As for minified CSS: ~development-stylesheets-for-theme-developers

Yes. Probably they buy more time and delay approving themes to avoid to many themes in one day.

.... WordPress – April 23, 2013 – JavaScript files need to be placed at the bottom, barring critical exclusion. [Modernizr, for instance] You can do this with the $in_footer argument …..
thanx for the heads up, so in order to use $in_footer parameter, what do you specify for $deps and $ver params if you need those as default?
