-quit overcooked foods. -eat fresh foods from the market -have less or no sugar in your coffee -eat till you’re 80% full -fast once in a while
Proper diet, high protein low carbs, sleep well, eat regularly, exercise at least 40 minutes per day! You will see results every couple of weeks and you’ll start feeling better after the first few days! The most important thing though is eating properly and sleeping properly! Doing anything else without this is useless!
One does not simply sleep well in the web dev business. One week i go to bed at 10pm the other at 6am…
Few months ago i went on a diet and lost 10kg within 3 weeks. What i did was basically stop eating, only ate enough not to die. But i started eating as usual after the 3rd week and gained those 10kg again.But the best way to lose weight is:
It’ll take a while to lose the weight but after you get used to the healthy living the weight won’t come back.
- No more bread (and anything else that’s made out of wheat)
- No more Coke, beers…
- Eat chicken, fish and vegetables (nothing else)
- Drink water and juice you made yourself from fresh fruit (nothing else)
- Exercise (bicycle, walking, running, whatever you like, i prefer bicycle)
Oh yes, but believe me, one does sleep well in a dev business! My health will always be millions of time more important than any project I’ll ever build or have built!
I used, as they call it here: French diet. The first phase of 2 to 10 days, only protein foods. It’s a cleansing of toxins and other things. The second phase may last until the weight you want to accomplish. In the second phase you add vegetables. In the third phase, you add carbs, but only on Thursdays (I do not know why) Even if you can train a little bit, it will be great!
I have few friends effectively lost weights with using some android/iOS app which calculates calories of what you eat, how much execise and help make goals and achieve it. It does not work fast! If you want long lasting result you have to loss weight smouthly like 1-2 kg per month. Same as gaining weight with bodybuilding. Best aproach is to gain slow not fast.

I find threads like these funny. The time you waste asking is time you could be running. Doing push-ups, pull-ups, skipping rope, sit-ups, and the list goes on. Be creative and focus. Don’t over-do it. You don’t need any super-diet plans, weird exercise machines, and whatnot, you need dedication. And once you have dedication, you’ll want to eat healthy, you’ll want to stay in shape, stay active, and overall, you will have changed your life-style.
