The LOTR trilogy contains three of the best movies of all time. I grew up on The Hobbit and read the rest of Tolkien’s work as an adult, including The Silmarillion. I love all things Middle Earth, and really enjoy Jackson’s work. I don’t consider myself a hater at all. I hope you were talking to the other guys :)

It was more in jest than anything else ;)

I know, I just wanted to boast that I actually made it through the Silmarillion.

I saw it yesterday.. It had the same epic feeling like the previous trilogy, and in some ways it is better, but, it was too similar with it, especially with the first movie from the series.. Maybe because it was the same idea: a bunch of guys going through different adventures in order to reach a mountain :)

I liked it a lot, but i was expecting more from it.. And let’s not start a topic about the story :D it was a lot different than in the book, and some scenes were given a totally different message..

But it was a good movie overall.. I can’t wait to see the other two :)

I saw it in 48fps 3d. I wouldnt recomend doing this as I found the hyper-reality really distracting – it looked liked the characters and action had been sped up.this may be something we get used to with more viewings but for now it just looked weird! On the positive side- great casting, acting and score.Over all it was much enjoyed!
