I am a little bit confused, i have a theme thats in soft reject mode on the second place now for about 22 hours, but in the 22 hours i have seen 3 new items on the fronpage, so how does this really works?

Is “2nd on ThemeForest” really the “2nd on ThemeForest”

And are the approved item selected random or are the selected by upload order?

Probably there is more than one reviewer. So when your file was checked other reviewer could approved other files.

whilst a file is being soft rejected surely the reviewer will carry on with the rest of the queue whilst waiting for confirmation of what to do with the “rejection”..?

The reviewer is probally leaving it to another reviewer to get a second opinion on it ;) bur yes your file still remains in the same place it was when it was “Soft rejected” so luckily you don’t go up the queue :D even if it might seem so

We always go in order when it comes to items. If an item have been on hold for 2 days and the next one only 2 hours we start with the one that´s been there for 2 days.

So there´s no need to worry really, we do our best to clear the ques as quick as possible. Oldest goes first though. So if we have 50 files that´s been there for 2 days we need to clear them before getting to your file.

Hope this cleared a few questions about this.

Have an awesome weekend everyone, now I´m of on a middle in the night date! ;)

Btw, I´ll be back on monday morning reviewing files!

In regards to the original question…

The queue you see shows all of the files waiting to be reviewed as one total number. However, the queues are actually split up for the reviewers.

So for example, there is a separate queue for each category (HTML, PSD , WP, etc). But there is also a separate queue for items that are being updated or have been soft-rejected (viewed as an update).

So, you saw items being approved which was probably because Chan (kailoon) was reviewing the PSD and/or WP categories. Your item wasn’t moving because I hadn’t started reviewing yet (for the HTML Templates category). This happens all the time because the reviewers are pretty much all in different time zones and we review at different times.

As a side note, when I review, I always start with item updates and soft-rejected items. I also almost always review during weekends as well. ;-)

Anyway, hopefully this helps to clarify a bit more. :-)
