When a client email me through the contact form, the purchased data is valid only for 7 days!! what’s is the reason? and how to get that data after 7 days without asking the client to send a new email?

Thanks

Why would you need the purchase data again if you already know that the client purchased it? If you need it for your booking then you can ask them for the purchase code and use the Envato API anytime.

I have a good example for this: if you are on vacation with no internet in more than 7 days, when you are back and you check all of your emails through contact form, the purchase data is not valid anymore… ;)

Another example; A buyer buy one of my items and contact me for support and after 7 days he said he just bought another item, how to verify that?

Better example. One interested user contacts you to ask pre-purchase doubts. Time goes by (more than 7 days, oc) and he replies saying he got the file and asking for support. You need to ask him to write again from profile form.

Not very important, anyway.

ask him to send you a new message from your profile, explain him why: “to verify the purchase, also because of charge back frauds”

if is genuine it will have no problem doing this since you are providing him free support.

You can also ask for the item transaction number (or how is called) and this will (probably) remain always valid for you to check in the future. Don’t know how this works but looks like authors are asking for this number when they need to provide support on their private forums.

That’s a nice option but it may cause unnecessary time lose, the buyer expects a quick reply to questions but that may cause about 24hr delay!

There is a simple solution for this but since this is not already implemented, I doubt if this is feasible:

In the contact form, add a mandatory drop-down that lists all the items of author. Buyer will select the item for which the question is related. Then the email will simply point that item name and the license type if purchased by the buyer. No hassle of 7 day expiry and as well as exactly points about which item the buyer question speaks about – solves 2 issues.
