Well, 3ds max is a rock solid software but I think it’s more suitable for architectural works. I’d prefer to use cinema 4d, it is appropriate for us and crazy f..kin good

Agreed. Switch to cinema, you wouldnt need more than a month with ur skills. Ah, and $4000

LOL it is quite a party! and the new aerodynamics in R14 are awesome!
It’s very easy if you know 3ds max already…you can use a node-system too with their Xpresso tool and AE+C4D are the best combination !

I hope I will switch to Cinema 4d in 2013… God, I Whish I can erase my 3ds max knowledge in my head…it would be easier

Don’t wish that, many VFX studios here in Germany use 3ds max, and big Andrew Kramer, too. It’s a solid program and surely not only for architectural work I wish I’d have the knowledge in any 3D program, have to start learning soon. If they just weren’t that expensive

really? Maxon are German I thought they hold the market firmly
But Balistique is right 3ds max is often used for architectural work while movie-animations use mostly Maya, and motion graphics artists like us -> C4D!
