on windows with firefox. one of the cores skyrocketed at 100% .
that’s normal coz this test measure maximum troughput.

my cpu is also at 100% using firefox 4 on linux, difference is i get 250.000 in the canvas test while an ipad would get around 200-300.

They are capable of running 3d games and all kind of angry birds physics levels …but you are saying that the hardware cannot draw boxes in a browser?

not true, hw accelerated transformations/transitions have very low cpu cost
it’s just canvas which wasn’t given the same love.

No offence, but as long there are dumb people around, Apple will have easy life. None is realizing that they cut out possibly everything that might damage their greedy policies.

They’re making bazillions from the hard work of others without lifting a finger. And no it’s not the hardware, you could even run playstation games on that thing… I wish people would wake up.

The problem is that the Hardware cannot support the Browser, with Canvas on top. Sure it can run a game, because the game is just a bunch of instructions that are native code.

But when running an APP /Software that renders the Canvas code, its a whole other story. So YES its the Hardware and not the Software….

Nothing to do with Canvas, and everything to do with crappy apple products.

Cheers

No, it’s not
they have in browser hardware accelerated transforms which run approx 10-20 times faster than the equivalent thing done with canvas
Hardware is not the issue here
