Hey guys,

I often received emails with requests for my works to donate them for various churches/charitable business/schools/etc.

What i know: being an exclusive author here that’s against the rules, however i would’ve liked to make some donations. Instead of just sending that person to the Envato Support to open a ticket there, do you know any other way? I thought about donating the money (theme value) and that person to purchase himself, having a perfectly licensed item, however i’m not sure if that’s legal too.

I know some are sc*m but i often do some research and if everything’s all right i wouldn’t have no problem donating to some.

Could you not buy the item and supply them with the license and the item? You don’t have to send any money and you’re guaranteed to get the sale

You can have an extra account and purchase the item via that account and give the charity a copy of the license certificate. Or even create an account for them.. All of thse are legal..

be careful, donation requests can be scam attempts to get the items for free.

the item they ask from you cost nothing really, if they don’t have money to spend, there are a ton of free and great quality themes on the internet.

In general be careful with donations to organization of any kind. I’ve had some experience with how these organizations work and most them (even the well known) are just a way to make money for who sits at the top.

Yeah, I’d really like the same thing, for coupons for example. Those are powerful ways of marketing.

agree. If your budget equals zero, why go after commercial themes to begin with ?
