Hello Marc, you are lucky, you got a detailed review and what is left is just to get through every point.
My personal additional notes: spread of social icons–indeed, spacing between icons is too wide. Typography–font size is not even tiny, it is double-double-tiny, who will be able to read text with such tiniest letters? + difference in size of a paragraph and a heading creates big visual misbalance (on full-width page, especially).
To my opinion these blackened/whitened images are not right here, I understand you wanted to create a feel of minimalism but these images are not right to be displayed in black/white, it is not that type of photos… And to my eye the skins colours (apart maybe retro blue) are not good, they are as if from other place and do not match (they are too bright).
And photo thumbnail on full-width page–pay attention, thumbnail opens a bigger image on just other page, if you wish to show the enlarged version some better way to display it is really required.
Wish you good luck and hope you will manage to submit it next time.
Hi Virtuti,
Thanks for your feedback. In reply to some of your points -

- I agree with this (but one reviewer said increase the spacing, even though I knew it to be wrong!!)

- I think this is total, personal preference. Any image/photo can be monochrome, and it enabled me to give that feeling of minimalism. Maybe you are used to seeing those original images in full colour? The accent colours were meant to have a starkness to them. As opposed to wishy-washy pastel shades, which do not contrast well against the white background.
thanks
Good to see some changes. Still need polish though

What do you mean by your comments above though??
I mean you need a clean and creative design
Hey Marc,
I think that the design is nearly there..
There are a few things you should at least consider to fix them if you want to increase your chances to get this project approved.
Something is wrong with the menu:

That occurs when I hover the menu only for a few seconds and then it’s gone. Also, as you can see there is a symmetric problem with the separator between each link.
One thing that isn’t really matter in this particular project – It’s not comfortable when the demo links directing to another website.. (The slider directed me to Google a several times)
BEST of luck Marc.

Would lose all that dead space in the header. End Users usually hate scrolling, so as soon as you can get to the information the better. Its always a delicate trade off between eye candy and practicalities. Hope that helps.
Marc… best to go through each of the reviewer’s critique and basically change it to how they want.
Go through each one, one by one. OK I know you’re going for a black and white theme and to be honest, you have some valid points. But you’re looking to get this approved.
Also, was wondering, are you playing around with ‘responsiveness’ I noticed a change in menu when you resize the browser. Obviously, the gallery/portfolio doesn’t work in a responsive manner though.
Good luck.
