Theme Rejected, would really appreciate some feedback.

Hey guys,

This theme has been rejected twice with the same feedback so obviously I’m missing something. I would greatly appreciate some advice on what needs fixing.

We’re sorry, your item Stripes – Responsive HTML5 Template has not been approved for sale on ThemeForest. This is the reason given by our item inspector:

1. Your file has some well done design concepts, however it does not meet the current and very stringent quality guidelines and we can not accept your file at this time. You will need to make some additional improvements in overall aesthetics and aspects such as typography, graphics and spacing.

2. There are a few inconsistent spacing issues throughout the design.

3. Overall template’s typography needs additional refinements and improvements before it will be ready for sale.

4. Even with the current design, a significant increase in the polish of the various aspects of the template may just swing the decision in your favor.

I think your logo is to small.

I can’t read the text on the images in the latest work area below the slider.

I think the cotent boxes that hold text need to go away

Here aer some articles to reference for your next submission. I would also recommend telling the reviewer the things that you fixed.

Loose the borders, the overall appearance will be much cleaner and friendlier.

Logo too small? I always assumed the logo was there just to give people an idea of what their logo might look like, sort of like a placeholder. Thanks for the insight. Agreed, it is too small, I’ll make it slightly bigger.

Do you mean the content that appears when you hover? It looks quite clear to me. I think its probably the opacity of the black mask behind it that’s making it harder to read. I’ll make it darker.

Yeah, I added those boxes after I last got rejected. They don’t look that good behind text. There gone now.

Yes, on reflection those borders are a bit harsh. I tried getting rid of them but with the shadow it looks pretty bad without a border. I changed the color of the borders from #333 to #666. I think it looks better now.
