Hello all,

I recently submitted my latest template html/css, BASICO and it was rejected. This is the message I got back:

1) Your template does not provide a unique enough design with the necessary design quality, features and options to compete in the marketplace at this time. As higher quality templates become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.

2) You might consider improving your design with more unique features and graphics in order for it to stand out among other marketplace items. However, a unique design will be a key factor for approval.

This is my template and some pages:

Since the design is so minimalist, you need to give people a reason to buy. In this case, I’d want more features, like different sliders, hover menus, breadcrumbs, social network share buttons for products, comments for products, video support, etc.

Thanks for your opinion, many of the features you listed to be present, probably, we have to add more features…

There is no clear hieararchy here. I can’t see what’s important or not, everything is flat/boring.

I would also check image hover animation. Not a big issue really but it should be using stop() or something like that.

Personally, I like the idea of minimal design but I agree with the opinions that the visual hierarchy still flawed. And especially if the shop is a serious problem.
And even minor errors in the CSS . Check Add to cart area for example here: http://popcultureonline.it/Basico/product-page.html
By me in Firefoks4 for Win looks strange.
Good luck :)
