I am looking for any feedback regarding my recently rejected theme. I received a standard rejection notice..
“Unfortunately your submission doesn’t meet our current minimum quality requirements for the category it was submitted to. Please consider taking some time to familiarize yourself with our current library and quality levels of popular items before resubmitting.”
I submitted my theme under the nonprofit category. Here is a link and any suggestions for improvement, or reasons that my theme was possibly rejected would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!!

The only thing you have in that theme is the home banner + the events calendar.. the rest seems pretty much non existent. Empty pages; ugly typography; lacks nice grid; the portfolio/gallery is pretty much nothing.
Brutally honest, it’s not good enough to be a free theme…
Study basic design principals, go away and practice then try again.

Brutal but true – hit the books and come back stronger

Who are you to say someone wouldn’t want to use this as a free theme? That’s so rude it’s not even funny. You’re supposed to give the artist positive reinforcement and help him with his journey. Did you not see the word “feedback” in the title of the thread?
You sir, should be ashamed of yourself and you need to go study basic manners.
I think the theme has potential but it still needs a lot of work. What sticks out like a sore thumb for me is the typography needs a lot of work. Aside from that, one of the menu items is on two lines, that just doesn’t look right, please work on that as well.
It’s a good start, is the theme good enough for the site? Probably not but I believe this will make you a better and stronger designer. Keep that head up and goodluck

He said nothing about someone not wanting it, just that in competition with other free themes (there are many incredible ones) his wouldn’t be that great

Listen here son, I’m not going to get into an argument with you over this. It’s clear as day that he said “it’s not good enough to be a free theme… ” which implies that no one wants it. I’ve ran businesses with over 200 employees with over 40 years of experience, this is not the way you get people motivated into bettering themselves.
Perhaps the original artist can submit his design to another art community site that is more than willing to give constructive feedback, which is what this author is desperately seeking.
