I’m looking for a theme that allows me to create an all white/blank page for use as a “landing page” or “squeeze page.” Meaning, there will be no header, no navigation bar and no sidebars shown on this page but those elements Will appear on the other pages within the site.

I prefer not to use a plug-in for this feature

Can anyone recommend a theme or a solution?

Thank you,

I guess you’re talking about WordPress.

You can take basically any theme, copy the full-width page template and create a new page template yourself, calling a different header and footer (you also need to create those).

Then you’ll have your very own canvas to play with :)

EXAMPLE :

Create page-landing.php, header-landing.php, footer-landing.php.

In page-landing.php:

<?php /*
Template Name: My Squeeze Page
*/
get_header('landing'); // this gets the header-landing.php

?>

<!-- your HTML layout here -->

<?php get_footer('landing'); // this gets the footer-landing.php
?>

In the header/footer-landing.php you can put your usual CSS /JS stuff, or structure them however you need.

NOTE TO STAFF : the same ‘unable to save post edits’ bug organicbeemedia was experiencing in Safari is now present in my Firefox 6.0.2 on Win7. Clearing the cache seems to do the trick… :(

Hey Rojac!

With this theme: http://themeforest.net/item/kaytee-premium-corporate-wordpress-theme/544953

you can deactivate any container you dont need (like navigation, logo, footers, content areas) etc. to achieve a minimalist landing page – there’s an image somewhere in the item description that shows this. And it has a nice website tour feature :)

All the best!
