Third rejection - quite bummed :-(

Hello everyone,

Today I recieved my third rejection on my jQuery powered template, Quartz. What really bummed me though, is that I got another general rejection reply:

We’re sorry, your item Quartz, jQuery powered Portfolio & Gallery Templat has not been approved for sale on ThemeForest. This is the reason given by our item inspector:

We would like to thank you for your submission but are, unfortunately, unable to approve it at this time as it does not meet our current quality requirements. Please continue reading as we’ve explained why we’ve declined your submission.

I’m sorry but your latest rejection messages stands. There’s no significant improvements and changes. Right now your template does not provide the necessary design quality to compete in the marketplace.

I really thought this time I was ready for at least a more specific reply, meaning that I am close to approval… I still won’t quit and work harder still, yet I can’t help but wonder. Am I that far off approval? Please share your opinion, and some feedback would be great, however harsh.

I think it is very nice and there are lots of options. Just improve on the typography and make the whitespace uniform across the design.

First of all, thanks a ton for your time, friend.

When you say whitespace, you mean macro or micro? or both? will definitely polish both typography and whitespace before another upload.

But, if it was just typography and whitespace, wouldn’t the reviewer be more specific, offer a bit of feedback? I feel really sad, I thought I was close

I’d try a sans-serif, have a look through google fonts.

Try a font like Bebas Neue or League Gothic.

Nikos, do not despair, it happens all the time with everybody especially with the first item.

Your theme need a spacing concept. My reviewer finally made me understand that making equal spacing for everything does not work as design concept. Look at the blog pages of my templates, I am also using some lines, or entire block borders, to break these equal heights and force a more organized look over the layout.

Logo: just disable all of it’s effects, don’t work.

All graphics need cleaning, need to be unique and creative.

I agree with Scott on his graphic review mostly.

Yeah, thanks for the pat on the back, as well as the feedback! It’s just that I thought I’d get a more specific reply this time; anyways, back to work! I won’t rest until this gets approved!

I think the main problem is with spacing.
