Thumbnail must be less than 50KB, it’s too small. I don’t use the my thumbnails…

upload it via ftp, the weight of thumbnail is not checked then

To create thumbnail I use psd file a bit bigger than 80×80px. When thumbnail is ready > ctrl+shift+alt+E = copy all layers below in one image, then duplicate this image in a new document and now save as JPG and if it’s needed save in 5-6 quality but I’m sure that you can use max 12 quality and thumbnail will be less than 50K. I made an action including above steps and it takes a few seconds to do this :)
