Hey @JustinScheetz

Open Source the beast :) wack the code on github, majority of people who use the system would be proficient enough to fix/add new features themselves.

You could deploy updates from github yourself if you still wanted to host it, or orgnaise for someone else to continue hosting the original product if you no longer can.

If you can’t find a buyer, then consider that option rather than just flicking the switch.

Good luck!

Hi Justin, I think one reason that you think its not worth your while is that Ticksy is very cheap at the moment. I am surprised it covers your hosting.

So why don’t you charge a little bit more and add some long-awaited features and be done with it.

With version 2, I don’t think there are many stuff left to be done.

Exactly, I’ve always said I wouldn’t mind paying more for it. I wonder how many users Ticksy has, let’s say around 100? So 100×5 is just 500$ where probably half goes to hosting, make it 100*20 and it starts to look good as some semi-passive income source.

Anyway, I’m waiting for your decision Justin, I shiver thinking about looking for new support system..

If you quadruple the price, I wouldn’t expect to keep all 100 users.

People flip out from $5 price increases for entire themes.

But here target is ThemeForest authors – people who need support forum ( and probablyare already hiring someone to help them with support ) have money for it – 20$ is still less than you get from selling 1 theme

Hi Justin, have you decided how to proceed?

Short version, we’re going to push out what we have built for version 2 within the week and then try to find a buyer to take over the app. Stay tuned.
