Too many items being approved?

The number of items approved on ThemeForest has been growing quickly. I think the number of items accepted is too high and the minimum standards should be increased. Let’s discuss…

Oh seriously? I wonder why do we bother to ensure quality and 6 months of work for this. Ohhh i know! We are idiots!!! ( talking about as an an author and not authors in general )

I believe it was brought up in the price increase thread but I wanted to make a proper thread dedicated to it.

Bother you because it’s more competition? The author himself may set higher standards and have higher sales.

Higher standards and less copy-cat items is better for buyers and sellers. I’ve just seen quite a few items of low quality accepted that are bumping others down. I would love to see items like duotive’s on the homepage longer than a day or two. Buyers might be missing some quality items. Maybe I’m wrong though, I’ll let you guys take it from here.

I thought i’m the only one who noticed this. In fact i saw a duplicated item from the HTML category knock knock reviewers.

all this can be simple avoided by this simple homepage thumbnails check.

more valuable the item is, more time on front page. higher the price higher promotion time
