I can confirm that icon fonts are now working fine, the problem was there for some time, but I thought it was only me :)

And iPhone dropdown fix would be great, since it became almost unusable.

Seems like their are two issues with touch depending on the device you have

1. Clicking on a menu opens it, but when you touch an item it registers on the element underneath the menu 2. Clicking on a menu opens it, but immediately starts loading the link you just clicked e.g. I click on ‘Forums’ the menu opens but it starts loading /forums/ not giving me time to choose one of the items in the menu.

Here’s what I do to get to forums (iphone) – tap on forums to open the dropdown, hold down on whatever menu item you want until the popup thing on your phone opens and say open in new tab.

That’s if you don’t have this issue >

“I click on ‘Forums’ the menu opens but it starts loading /forums/ not giving me time to choose one of the items in the menu.”

Some issues are fixed, but there are some which are still there. For example, (iPad) if i click on the Forums link, i’ll get the dropdown and will be able to open any links from there. But if i hit the Forums link again, it will not get me there. More, if i keep the hand long enough on the link, i’ll get that context menu. If i choose to open in a new tab it will work, however, if i choose to open in the same tab it will not work. Currently, it’s impossible to open any parent menu on touch devices (it’s the same for the profile button).

Hi KrownThemes,

Thanks for the feedback. We decided on touch devices to disable the parent menu link and instead have the same link available in the drop-down menu.

The link on the profile button will take you to the Author Dashboard page. You should see a link to the Author Dashboard in the dropdown menu.

For the category menus (on Themeforest: HTML, Wordpress, Marketing…) you should see a link to All Items that takes you to the same page as the parent link.

The only menu that does not have this is Forums. We can add a link to /forums/ to appear on touch devices in the dropdown if people request it.

Different people will expect a different solution to the problem (we could implement some kind of double-tap mechanism to the parent link). While maybe not ideal, we hope this solution at least makes these menus usable on touch devices.

What device are you using that has an issue with opening in the same tab?

Thanks, Rowan

Hey Rowan

Thanks for your answer, i understand. I am using iPad 3rd generation with Safari and as you say, all the top menu links (which have children) are deactivated – that is – forums, community, help, author dashboard & all categories.. It’s ok i guess, but for example if i want to get to my dashboard i need to press my name then go to profile, then go to dashboard.

If you open that menu can you see the Author Dashboard link to take you directly?

On touch devices, I’m only ever trying to access themeforest.net/forums which is the parent link, but that’s not possible after this change. I’m used to seeing this mix of posts on the desktop and I don’t ever browse the sub-forums because it shows an inconsistent mix of stuff. It’s pretty annoying not be able to see the same threads on my phone and laptop.

This has been going on for a few months, and usually I just say screw it and don’t use the forums on my phone anymore unless I really want to follow a discussion.
