Top New Authors

Hi! I was just wondering why I’m not among the top new authors since I sold more than other authors that are listed…I joined in november and I had 6 sales, 4 of them in december (14$ x2 and 11$x2) and still I’m not there…I think I should’ve been among the last but still…it’s not a huge deal but it would have been nice for me and I don’t understand why other people with less sales are listed…maybe I’m missing something Thanks!

You guys were new as of November not December which was last month.

It looks like the first month you get a sale is whats considered the month you are a new author. If you get 1 sale Nov 30th and then 20 in Dec you won’t make Dec list.

For some reason these threads happen month after month but Envato never makes this clear or gives an official statement clearing this up.

I started in November with an Exclusive sale, then I had three sales in December. Was I supposed to appear in some chart?

Another nice aspect: top author 1 and 6 are members since 2010 :))

Dazed and confused

Hi there. It’s based on the month that you get your first sales, not when you joined. As a concrete example, I joined in Jan 2012 and uploaded 3 tracks but made my first sales in February, and made the the top authors list for that month.
