Top Secret Info Regarding CodeCanyon

Hi, everyone! Jeffrey here.

As many of you are aware, we’ll soon be launching a new marketplace called CodeCanyon. Here, we’ll be selling helpful scripts and components – much like the ones currently available on ThemeForest (which we’ll be porting over to CodeCanyon).

Consider this to be a friendly nudge to get started with your first submissions! As we all know, with fewer choices comes more exposure; so it’s always smart to get in early, if possible. We’re going to launch with a handful of categories, with the plan being that we’ll sporadically add new categories according to demand.

• JavaScripts
• ASP .NET Components
• Java Components

So if you have the ability, get coding! Feel free to ask any questions that you might have in this thread.

It will be nice to finally separate these from the Site Templates!

Absolutely. That always bugged me a bit. Now, those two categories will have a more appropriate home.

Yaaaay!!! I won’t bother uploading my super php utility… Until the code canyon release or at least te beta.. Still have a heck of a lot to do though… Code canyon is gonna be sweeeeet… Can’t wait to test the water…

It’s sad that I will be moving my home to Codecanyon and leaving Themeforest behind. I can’t wait for the new site, I’ll be the first to grab a beta invite ;p I would love to see more categories in the future. A few I would recommend is Perl, Ruby, Python, and Ror. I’m certainly looking forward to this.

I have a script in the works already… hopefully the timing will be right

One question I have is if we upload a PHP Script to the current site (theme forest) it will automatically be transfered over.

Are there any benefits of waiting or should we just go ahead and upload a script?
