hey everybody im haveing isses.. im trying to reinstall windows 8 a fresh new copy.. when i put in the disk.. says their is not enough room on the c-drive.. i have deleated files still not enough space.. i have looked on the internet didnt have much luck
If you wanna “fresh new copy”, you should format your system drive and then continue (with bootable CD, DVD or flashcard).
i have tryed reformatting the c-drive it wont let me
You need to boot directly into Windows 8 Setup if you want to format your C:\. If you just start it from within Windows, you can only choose the ‘Upgrade Install’ or ‘Custom Install’ which will only put your current Windows files into Windows.old, hence you don’t have enough space.
Also, you can’t format a C:\ from within Windows (assuming you have installed Windows there). Hence booting directly into the bootable DVD is recommended as you can then format your C:\. However, make sure you have made a backup of all your important files (including those in Libraries and Desktop) as formatting C:\ will wipe off everything.
i have tryed that also.. i have tryed to do both fresh install and custom and still no go
It sure won’t if you’re doing it in Windows. Choose your bootable disk with distributive as first boot-device from BIOS, then run setup. Just make sure you’ve copied all your personal data from C, otherwise you’ll be blaming me if you lose those. )
i have booted from the bios also and still no go
What exact error-message it shows you?
when i boot from the bios to the software cd.. it starts to install and it brings up 3 different drives.. its not giveing me any options on reformating any 3 drives that it shows and far as saveing anything from my desktop etc.. its all replaceable
It’s a bit of a perversion, but (since Internet has no idea on your issue… does it though?) you can install the system on other partition, then format C, then install the system on C, then delete system-files from previous system-partition.
