and again its not letting me boot from my external dvd drive.. only the internal and when i go to install it says not enough room on cdrive.. and its not showing me to do a custom install or anything

Okay, 10gb isn’t enough, C must be formatted… If you can’t format it from Windows setup try getting Hiren’s Boot CD, it has great partitioning tools and it boots like Windows (from a CD).

NO! Next time make sure to read this.
I strongly recommend you to have drive C with min 40GB.

So you are trying to install Windows 8 on 9.87gb of space? You need at least 16gb, so either format up that partition, or free some space, although I recommend you to have at least 40gb free of space on C before installing windows, you will need some programs after installing for sure.
