Hi all!

I’m a Tumblr theme dev and I’ve been making themes since 2012.

Sales were great until the Tumblr theme’s prices were changed from $20 (or less) to $30.

I thought his would change when buyers get used to the new prices, but I keep seeing other themes don’t get much sales as well.

Did anyone notice this or is it just me?

Thanks for reading and please post your comment if you are also a Tumblr dev.

I’m not entirely sure what Freshface is getting at, but I think he’s referring to some customers expecting 1000 hours of work put in for every $10 they spend?

Hmmm I think it’s some sort of code.. ball pit = having fun, to play.. and I think for FreshFace work = play.. therefore I think he is saying: “Have you tried spending some extra hours working on your themes to make them sell better ? “

Or I could be way off.. haha

You’re right.

I posted my Karl Theme when prices were still about 16/19$ for each theme (only a few themes were priced 20$).

It started selling good, until a couple of weeks passed and the prices were raised to 30$.

I’ve contacted some Tumblr sellers and up until now all are saying the same:

- After prices went up from $20 to $30 the sales dropped significantly :-(

Freshface: This has nothing to do with quality of the themes, it has to do with all Tumblr themes that are available in TF.

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I was wondering if it’s possible for an author to go back to the old prices?
