You can do that with layer style. In layer styles there is options “advanced something”,.....just bring fill opacity to zero, and add shadow effect.

Got it. Thanks. Actually I tried with layer style, but I forgot to turn off color overlay I added at first lol. It works with it too, but in advanced blending “blend interior style as group” should be turned on.
- Make the text white and add your shadow however you like. (doesn’t have to be layer styles)
- Add a Channel -> Solid Composite effect and set the color to white.
- Add a Channel -> Invert effect and set it to invert Alpha
- Add a Channel -> Set Channels effect, setting Red, Green and Blue Off and Alpha to luminance.
Same effect without the layer styles, so you can pretty much use it for any method of generating a shadow, not just layer styles.
