uhm… did someone mention ssl… 2 million years ago? :D Nevertheless guys, no need to be rude, all systems can be hacked, no matter how awesome they are, there will always be people who find ways around them! :)

You’re way to biased my friend. You should start to really think about consequences, or what you feel or think about, instead of always staying on Envato’s side. To be honest, this issue does not affect me, and I truly appreciate Envato’s honesty on the matter. However, and I am sure this is something Collis will be banging his head around for a while, you just cannot use unencrypted passwords if someone else’s privacy is involved!

We’re all users’ data compromised? Or just some of the tuts+ members’ data?

Chiiiiiillllll – just change your passwords people :-) Envato made a big mistake. They know it and they have an open policy about it – that’s good.

ALL tuts+ members.

Just to clarify, as the article states, this breach was of Tuts+ Premium (the subscription service). Not the entire Tuts+ network.

I was going to subscribe to Tuts+ in a few weeks as their PHP and Javascript tuts look invaluable. Now I certainly will as i’d expect their new security measures to be better than most other sites. Envato were very transparent and hid nothing from it’s users about being hacked, they get my respect and future subscription.
