So I’m creating an options page for my themes and I was wondering what all of the values were for the “type” field in the functions.php file. Here’s the code:

“type” => “select”,

I know there’s that, text, and textarea, but what are the rest?

Thanks!

I thought that it used the same input elements as an HTML form (input type=”radio”, for example).

  • text
  • checkbox
  • radio
  • submit
  • textarea
  • fieldset
  • legend

I’m not 100% certain this is the answer but it’s my educated guess.

Its upto you. WordPress doesn’t have any built-in types. If you define situations, you can have any type you want.

Yes. You’re correct, _rohan. I must have spaced on my reply earlier because I know better than that.

@SuperMario, they’re usually defined below the options array like:

<?php break; case 'text': ?> [....type definition here...]
