Hi there,

What is wrong with this? Here’s the error at the output panel:

Error C:\Documents and Settings\Nuno\Desktop\Portfolio\folder\folder\transitions\Tweener.as: Line 454: Unexpected ‘)’ encountered catch()

Error C:\Documents and Settings\Nuno\Desktop\Portfolio\folder\folder\transitions\Tweener.as: Line 455: Identifier expected {

And my code:

if (folder.transitions.Tweener._currentTime >= _loc3) { if (_loc1.onUpdate != undefined) { try { _loc1.onUpdate.apply(_loc5, _loc1.onUpdateParams); } // End of try catch() { } // End of catch } // end if

Thanks in advance.

Is that your exact code? It’s missing on curly bracket at the end.

Also, you could try filling in the catch brackets with something like;

catch ( e: Error ) {}

I don’t know if that’s your exact problem, but I recall having issues with try, catch, finally statements when I left out the error type.

Thanks for the help geoken but i did what you said about filling with (e:Error) but the same errors continue.

And what do you mean about missing curly bracket? (i’m a ZERO at coding…)

Here’s the if part of the code:

if (folder.transitions.Tweener._currentTime >= _loc3) { if (_loc1.onUpdate != undefined) { try { _loc1.onUpdate.apply(_loc5, _loc1.onUpdateParams); } // End of try catch (e: Error) { } // End of catch } // end if ++_loc1.timesCalled; if (_loc1.timesCalled >= _loc1.count) { _loc11 = true; break; } // end if if (_loc1.waitFrames) { break; } // end if } // end if

And one thing that also happens is this error at the top of the output panel:

Error C:\Documents and Settings\Nuno\Desktop\Portfolio\folder\folder\transitions\Tweener.as: Line 2: The name of this class, ‘folder.transitions.Tweener’, conflicts with the name of another class that was loaded, ‘folder.transitions.Tweener’.

Thanks ;)

looks like there’s also something wrong with your imports.

hmm…

Make sure you have the right Tweener version – Actionscript 2.0 or Actionscript 3.0 for your file…

Your going to get all kinds of errors if your using a flash decompiler. Good luck!

yes, it does appear to be code from a decompiler, i hope u arent making this file to upload because i check all AS and any signs of decompiled code gets your file rejected and your account closed

Be warned ;)

Didn’t know that decompiler did that.

I’m trying to recover some files from a friend, who also doesn’t know the answer to my problem… So i’m basically clueless here…

And don’t worry Jay, it’s not for upload. I don’t know anything about flash. I leave that to the pros… I just buy. :)

So what do you think i can do?

id suggest getting your hands on the original files, decompilers wreck the code i think
