I wanted to participate in the previous one, but unfortunately I don’t have this Nike+ thingie (and I won’t be having one in near future) so the question is: is there any way that we can think of that will able all of us who are interested to participate?

unfortunituly I don’t think theres a good way to track the reason I picked Nike+(other than its what was used last time) is that I know many have iPhones, iPod Touches,iPod Nanos and the sensors are fairly cheap http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-162953/pgid-162953 for the nano and touches and the iPhone the app is $1.99 the next cheapest solution would be the sportsband which is $59 on the nike site if anyone else has a solution let me know

How is it? Half of me thinks it looks really cool, the other half thinks it’s a ridiculous gimmick. My third half recognizes that I am simply a sucker for entertaining advertising :P

I use my iPhone4 with the Nike+ GPS application and it works great. However I’m a sucker for gadgets so I also bought a Withings body scale (wifi scale that measures body fat too). I will get the Nike+ Fuel armband tomorrow and then I will post an update :)

I just think its fun and the ad looked pretty cool. And last but not least it has a motivating factor on me as well. ;)

I would love to do something like this, but I blew my knee out playing tennis years ago and can’t run anymore. So, I do neighborhood walks instead.

Also, I could never understand why the need for a separate sensor with the Nike stuff. I just downloaded this free Pedometer app for my iPhone that doesn’t need a sensor: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pedometer-free/id362306160?mt=8

Doesn’t help w/ the challenge, but if there’s anyone looking for a decent pedometer app… ;)

Too bad about your knee but really great you’re still doing walks! You don’t necessarily need to run to participate in this competition. Walking is fine as well. Every kilometer counts! :)

Just tested the new Nike+ Fuelband, which tracks all your activity during the day! Fun gadget, but not as accurate as the Nike+ GPS in my iPhone4.
