My nephew was not allowed to use the restroom until the point he wet his pants. He begged to go but was not allowed. Is my sister allowed to sue the school for not letting her son use the restroom?
im waiting for the punch line but i have a scary feeling one isnt coming….
But as a fellow member of the teaching community i have to say no ur sister has no right to sue the school, a teacher is well within their rights to say no. Its all about good judgement and sometimes we get it wrong and believe you and me we feel as guilty as hell when it happens
I dont think they can be sued, but I think the teacher can get in trouble…at least they should.
I’d like to be on your nephew’s place and years. Come on, It’s fun man
School, teachers, games… wet pants… what else you can ask for?
The life is fun even if we think that it is not .
teacher is to blame , what if he said he’s not well , and the teacher doesn’t let him go, and the kid faints or something like that? I would deal with that teacher personally.
I would deal with that teacher personally.
Yeah she should definately speak to the teacher about whats happened but just bare in mind that we are all human and all make mistakes from time to time, like i said its all about good judgement in this instance. I must get asked the toilet question on average about 50 times a day and if i said yes to everyone i would never be teaching to a full class
My teacher made us sing the “bathroom song”, it actually worked quite well because if you really had to go, you would put up with the humiliation of singing it, and if you didn’t well, you just wouldn’t ask because you knew that if you did, you’d have to sing the song.
It went something like:
“gotta go to the bathroom, gotta go real bad, and if you don’t let me…. i’m gonna wet my pants.
gonna make a puddle baby…”
but I feel for your nephew, I don’t think suing is the right action to take, but definitely have a talk with the teacher.
Never knew it was a teachers job to train children like little animals and humiliate them by singing stupid songs..
Sueing a teacher, nah, telling the teacher that he better start doing his/her job instead of only implying the rules of the status quo..
Just a thought
I thought these things are heppening only in my school, bad the same happens in Antarctica
BTW , in the process of socialisation, we do all kinds of madness (not only to the children).
Nothing against you, your Nephew or anybody but seriously the worlds gotta get out of this “I’m gonna sue you” mindset.
It never used to be like this, now all I hear and see on TV and radio are Accident helpline ads, for crying out loud get a grip and stop being so pathetic.
I do however feel sorry for your nephew and I think the teacher should be spoken to very sternly. Can I ask, what would of been the case if this went to court? Compensation in the form of new undies?
