Many here is complaining about less exposure for new items. But how important is this actually? How much of this exposure actually leads to sales? I just tried to browse all items on Audiojungle and sort by date to get the newest items first. On the 3 first pages 2 items had sold once. The rest had 0 sales. So my question is. How many items does actually sell when they are on the first page? Not taking parts in the design debate here, but I think maybe some authors seem to overvalue this new item exposure a bit. But maybe this effect is different for other envato sites?

My personal experience :: First day or two on the front page after a project was approved, substantially increase my exposure, thus sales in 90% of the time. I think it’s true to everybody (But you have to have a sufficient portfolio to be supported) ......... But now its gone, and this is a big blow to everybody.

Please bring those category buttons back. That drop down does not work for us. photo Home_Page_Suggestions_03_zps4fbd7a22.jpg

Yes, it’s better to bring these category buttons back, for some benefits:

1. With the current dropdown there are two steps : Click on the dropdown and click on an item in the list; while there is only one step in the category buttons to show the items. Why do we need to double the steps ?

2. The current page layout look a bit too plain. Having the category buttons back can cover up the white spaces as well as show up what categories we offer directly.

The new redesign of the site is awesome, but as pixeful and other users said there are a little details which can be fixed to be perfectly looking the layout. :)

By the way good work and good luck with the updates of the marketplaces.

+1 Not to mention the button only says “All” no mention of what it’s for, it’s also greyed out.. and has no mouse over hand cursor… so it definitely will not attract attention.

Yeh I had a 65.5% drop in revenue today compared to the day before when the change was implemented. Still pretty soon to see the trends but not looking too good so far.

I think the job here is to improve things if envato staff is being alerted sales from authors has stopped they need to do something since they also get money with new/small authors.
I think they prefer to focus on the popular items, they want to get Power Elites to outer space – if they do, they’ll be world famous for internet start-ups. If they make it a more fair and competitive environment, they’ll achieve those goals slower. This is their 2020 vision. – it’s obvious now. This is why they’re creating those Steve Jobs type videos, Envato is thinking very big. This is not a visual refresh, it’s tweaking the site to speed up the progress of the Elite progam.

Is it just me or is the old design in place again? Yesterday when I was browsing on the videohive start page I noticed the new search bar but now it seems back to normal for me. Anyone else experiencing the same?
