Can we get which of the above one causes much clicks through and sales conversion?

The vast majority of sales of new and existing items are related to traffic from the search, category and portfolio pages.

@justinfrench – Why don’t you guys make a competition for a best web solution for envato marketplaces with some $10.000 or $20.000 prize. After all, you have the some of the best designers/developers in the world.

About the Recent changes in the homepage: let me be honest and tell everyone what i personally feel, its horrible, the original design was very very beautiful, and i dont think you guys should change it. and thats not the only problem, i think envato is trying to become someone who they r totally not, and i know that it is not intentional, but i have a feeling that they r trying to make it look like other marketplace’s design, seriously guys?!! thats totally silly, but if u really really have to change it, i think “EFEKT_Studio” has a great idea. lets hope for the best.

Thanks for the answer.

But would be helpful if the answer is specific about new items – for this thread’s focus. Basically new items which are just 2-3 days old ones will have:

1. Less hope on search (regardless of efficiency of search system).
2. The portfolio page can contribute visits only for experienced authors – not for new authors.

So both the above can’t be a dependable channel of exposure of new items. Within the following 3, can you clarify which one contributes best sales number of new items:

1. Direct home page thumbnail click through
2. All Items page click through
3. Category / Subcategory page click through

I ask clarification on this because – really this will help better understanding and support from authors side. Would be completely understandable if this info can’t be shared due to business reasons but I see there is no potential harm with this.

Yep, I think more and specific data would help a lot. Will need to go through the proper channels, so I’m not sure on timing.

Long time somehow disconnected, now i think i’m having a huge déjá vu, VF & DS discussing about homepage exposure. :)

I’m just wondering why we can’t get more exposure for FlashDen? It’s not even listed in the main menu anymore! :D

I liked that I used to be able to load the homepage on my iPhone and see my current balance displayed largely on the left hand side. Now I have to zoom in to see it in the upper right hand corner. Petty maybe, but it’s the little things…

My opinion, if anyone cares- I’m not feeling this new design at all. :kanyeshrug:

Sorry if I wasn’t clear in previous replies, but yes, we will (at least for now) chang it back to visible links instead of a drop-down. I don’t know exactly when, but soon!

Thank you justinfrench :) ... looking forward for it !!

I have a suggestion. It would be better if you move announcement section to the top of the page. For example, I’ve found the “Happy ThemePunch Day!” by chance and I guess so many of other members did not notice it at all.

People will look for items they want in the whole page but with current design you can’t make a bold thing in the homepage…

IMO of course :)

Cheers,
Iman
