What are your plans? Would you think it’s best to wait out the holiday season? Just curious.

I’m curious too and I have the same question. Before holidays, your item will be one year old in a few days :D but after holidays there will be so many new themes and yours will be lost…

Any other opinions?

Cheers,
Iman

But it could also be lost during the holidays when there are typically lower sales. So the question is, can you get more sales after the holidays than before, in the same amount of time that an item typically gets buried? :)

I’m also confused to submit my next theme this month or wait till January.

We were ready to hit the upload button for our next theme, but at the final moment we decided to wait until next year… We have spent 3 months on development and submitting it now would be too risky…

There are advantages and disadvantages.

You’ll have the most exposure now, no other item will stay on the homepage for more than 4 days or so, if you submit it in December.

If you submit it in January keep in mind all the themes that will be submitted at that time. Probably at least 1.5x the usual quantity which means the theme will be buried even faster. If now normally you’d have 8-12 hours exposure, with the amount of items submitted in the first two-three weeks of January, I wouldn’t be surprised to see items come and go out of the homepage within 2 hours.

I think that niche is too small to notice any of the advantages / disadvantages :P
