Hello all, i know how crazy this next question sounds, but… now that i’ve purchased a theme that i really like, how do i use it as my website and blog, and is there a way to edit it online like blogger’s back end?

do i need a graphic designer still to do all that work for me? i have good knowledge of photoshop and illustrator but that’s all, no html css oetc

if someone could point me in the right direction i would be grateful

Did you buy an HTML template or a WORDPRESS theme? HTML templates require some very very basic knowledge of html and and sometimes css. Wordpress themes are built upon WORDPRESS which is one of the most popular cms for blogs and websites.

Hey Cyrill, welcome to ThemeForest :) (hope I got your first name right)

If you’ve purchased a WordPress theme here, then you just have to install WordPress on your server and follow the documentation that comes with the theme (upload&setup the theme, that is).

You’ll be up and running in no time and yes, you’ll be managing your site through an admin area, with much more options than the free Blogger platform :)

As far as I’ve seen, 99% of the WordPress themes sold here don’t really require coding knowledge ;)

Here’s to get you started: Getting started with WordPress

Have fun!
