I normally write a few sentences to the reviewer, not always just funny stuff. Sometimes I’ll write a technical question about my mix for example, and they pretty much always reply as necessary which just shows that they read the messages carefully. :)

I, too, leave a little something… usually just a smiley face or a winky face. I’m rather partial to the winky face. Occasionally, I try to show my appreciation to them by thanking them. Imagine just going through submission after submission after submission…. then a simple “Thank you for what you do!” probably is a nice little surprise…. and then… REJECTION! ;) (<—See what I did there?
