Hi,

I`m in the process of uploading my first WordPress theme, and I can’t understand where or how I’m suppose to create a description with headings, lists and images that I see in all the themes’ item pages.

Am I suppose to enter html or markdown in the description field? There is no mention of this in the upload page or the ‘A step-by-step guide to the upload process’ article.

So can someone please tell me about this? I’m really excited to upload first ever theme :D

Thanks and have a nice day!

Yes you can use (some) HTML tags in the description textbox. You might find this useful: http://revaxarts-themes.com/envatitor/

Thanks so much for your reply, and the tool you linked looks great, I’m trying that now. However, there is only one thing that I’m still confused about: I’ve seen almost all the items have images in their description area, and I’ve prepared some of mine as well but I’m not sure whether I should put them in the description field by using the img tag or upload them in the Theme Preview field.

Would be great if you can tell me about this as well.

Thanks!

You’ll need to host the images elsewhere, and then use the HTML img tag to get them to display in the description of your theme. Good luck! :)
