I’m looking to include either the UpThemes Framework: http://upthemes.com/upthemes-framework/
or NHP Theme Options Framework: http://leemason.github.com/NHP-Theme-Options-Framework/index.html
I haven’t used either, so was wondering if anyone has used these and if they decided to go with one over the other for any specific reasons?
Also, if there is any other frameworks I should take a look at let me know
download them both read the code, find out which one is more comfortable for you to work with and will fit the needs of your theme the best
I always loved NHP… unfortunately, it hasn’t seen development in six months and the bugs and feature requests have been piling up. As a result, I got tired of watching problems go unsolved, forked NHP, and released my own framework which resolves most of the issues people had with NHP and adds a few features of my own! If you want to take a look at my continuation of NHP, check out https://github.com/ghost1227/Redux-Framework/
I test both of this two options frameworks, but the another, the option tree is the best (for me)!!
Redux is very good options framework. Greets to ghost to make update of the old NHP framework and fix all issues..

Save theme weight and use the built in Customisation API – https://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Customization_API – honestly, I think it should be standards to start removing external options panels now, the built in API can do everything an external options panel can do without adding all that extra theme weight & potential security flaws.
