Support is not required but should be.
You are paying $55 for something worth $10,000 you’re getting your money worth. If you payed someone $2,000 to update it and do little changes you’d still be very much underpaying

Brazil developers bother to always provide sales support, we can not say the same for the rest of the world.
I guess Google translate is not working fine. The only thing that I can understand from your post is that you are not satisfied by the items that you’ve purchased. But I don’t really get the rest of story…
May be you should try to talk in Portuguese and some natives translate it here for the rest of us. This way we can help more…
A developer with the experience of the most established authors here is paid with more than $50 for an hour of programming, you’re buying a full theme that is worth more than 3-4-5,000 dollars, you can’t really expect support and customization within this price. Want more than the support each author provides(to make sure the theme works and installs fine)? Hire a developer.
You can’t expect to get a full website by paying $40 and without having any coding knowledge.
Btw: You definitely can’t be a developer without knowing English. Any decent coder knows english, you simply can’t work as a developer with world-wide customers by using google translate.

No matter the amount paid, if you sell 1 or 1000 for consideration should be the same.
Google translator is not 100%, but it works. The question is not for sale, but have a callback system that works.
So let me get this right, uhm for example apple makes an iphoneX and they spend 1 milion USD in development and sell all together 100 pieces for 400 usd they should offer these 100 customers service and guarantee for this forever?
Even microsoft is cutting support for winXP soon…

As for your points: 1) I have a company to provide support to theme and plugin authors and I can tel you that most of them are indeed concerned about support and they pay quite a good money for it 2) Support is not required, but any top author provides support. And most of them provide a good support system like GoodLayers (a client of mine!) 3) Sometimes requests are just out of the scope of the support. Theme authors just can’t provide for example customizations if you paid $50 for a theme. That barely pays 0h30 of work 4) Sometimes plugins don’t play nice with some themes so maybe that’s what you’re experiencing there also.
