Was wondering if any of you had good experiences using a laptop specifically for templates and customization. Thinking about getting one as cheap as possible but still being able to work in ae semi efficiently. Since i need it for maybe a month or 2 at the most untill i get my monster desktop back. Any thoughts ? Words of wisdom?

I’m using a laptop to do different type of work when I’m not around the desktop, including After Effects, but for render and other intensive calculations I transfer the files to a desktop pc

I appreciate the suggestions and experiences. I am convinced. Will check out those Asus powerbooks. Found some for around 600euro with an i5 and 6gb of memory. Guess it would be sufficient to invest in one.

I do all my stuff on a 2008 MacBook – 2.4GHz Core 2 duo with 8GB of memory.Also have purchased several projects and customized them.
