Well… YOU are hosting it after all, so yes I don’t see why not. Although that may detract or lower what people think about it.
Remember, you are selling to people who know how to use the Internet, not some random Facebook-goer who can’t tell the difference between a pageview and a click-through.

I asked Jeff about this a while back, and the answer is yes. There are some serious considerations for this (1- most advertisers won’t appreciate that the traffic is very largely uninterested in any ad units in demos simply because most people read them as “filler content”, not to mention that 2- the quality of impression on the demos is super low (usually lasting only seconds as opposed to at another site where a viewer is reading the content – 3 – linking users away from your product demo generally isn’t a great idea if you’re trying to make a sale). There are other things to consider, but yes, this is allowed by my understanding

Thanks for the comments! I agree not to use most ads but a hosting might be ok as the theme buyer might look for hosting as well.
