I am currently customising a wordpress website using the Icon 8 theme. However, I am having trouble using the content bands as I wish on some pages.

I’d like to use one of the content bands so that it looks like the ‘Awesome work’ on the Icon 8 demo home page (http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/8/) – except I can’t seem to find out how to overwrite a page title so that it appears in a content band i.e. when I create a page titled ‘Our Members’ I would like ‘Our Members to appear directly beneath the nav bar, in a content band. By copying the shortcode I can get it to appear beneath the page title, but this obviously replicates information. When I go to the ‘text’ editor for a page, I can’t find and modify the actual page title? As I type this I’m also conscious that I might need to use something else – i.e. a slider – rather than a content band to get the desired effect (I have to confess to being totally new to wordpress customisation!).

Hope this makes sense and any advice you can provide gratefully received.

Thanks – I’ve managed to sort it myself by changing page templates and content bar shortcodes. And it’s looking pretty :)
