So we can’t use an iPhone, MacBook etc, in the slider of the homepage (like the 99% of the themes) now?

Not necessary if you bought a license for the image – you just cannot distribute.

can pictures of celebrities be used in the preview if it has the appropriate license? (such as Attribution 3.0 unported) :)

I don’t think so. People who distribute celebrities image don’t actually have right to make it ‘Attribution 3.0 unported’.

The Demo Preview shouldn’t be more related to the author responsability ? I mean, Envato should be worried about what a client purchased and what’s included inside the package (including demo data import and all the assets). The demo, as it states, it’s just for demo purposes and any infringements should be addressed to the one that host the website (in this case – the author).

What’s happen if I link a site of an existing client that uses our theme, for demo purposes and with his agreement? Am I allowed to do so ?

Demo sites are for viewing only, they are not distributed.

hm, but I think that it’s still not allowed anyway. Envato clarified pretty clearly here > http://2.take.ms/vZbZy

Please let me know if I miss any points.
