I was just going through our weekly sales reports as I do every Monday and thought you guys would be interested to know that the last four weeks VH has suddenly gone on a growth burst! It’s grown 35% in week on week sales in the last 4 weeks. And in fact last week was up 15% on the week prior which is huge for a single week.
I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing the growth, last week’s looks like it was caused by a massive traffic surge due to the birthday bundle. But beyond that, I’m not sure, most likely it’s just the beginning of the season of growth – All the marketplaces start growing around August every year after a bit of summer flatlining. It’s one of the reasons the Birthday Bundle is so potent as it’s like a jump start to sales 
While I’m here, some other interesting things you might like to know:
- YouTube has passed Aetuts+ this month to become our biggest single referrer sending 40,000 visits a month, up from 15,000 earlier in the year. This is all due to authors posting their brilliant work up on the site and using the referral program – good job guys! Mocarg is particularly good at this one
- Facebook sends something like 8,000 visits a month which is like 4x as much as Twitter
- The most popular items by traffic in the last six months are: Elegant Extrusion (70,000 views), Logo Transforming (49,000 views) and Spectrum (48,000 views).
- 75% of visitors are Windows users and 25% are on a Mac
- Firefox is the leading browser with 35% of visits, followed by Chrome (21%), IE (20%) and Safari (17%) – so a pretty tight race really!
