It’s not slow. Just a lot more files are being uploaded. I review files and updates daily.

Yeah, Brian has done a brilliant job so far, and will continue to do so. As he said, we’re getting to that point where more files are coming in then getting reviewed. Just do to the recent influx of new authors, and more files from current authors. We should have the current queue knocked back into shape soon. And when we get another reviewer, waiting times should once again be a 48 hour window.

I would love to come on board, but I’m absolutely swamped in work just at the mo. Maybe a bit further down the line.
Thanks for all the support though!

my vote for ben, too!
i cannot apply because a one simple reason: i dont have enough confidence because my english is not perfect.
but i think i’ll be good in making decision which item is ready for vh, which is for soft reject, and which is not enough good.
brian/mark: can you describe one your working day as reviewer:
how long you’re working? approximately how many items (in %) are rejected/soft rejected/approved? how many users ask for additional explanation, and how many users thinks you hate them?

You can contact Mark with any specific questions. I can answer part of this though.
The amount a reviewing time varies for me. Usually 45mins – 1 hour daily. Lately it’s been more like 2+ though with the influx of new authors and files.
Percentages on approvals/rejections are rough since its never really the same.
I would think that everyone likes me, i think i do a solid job. As long as authors follow instructions and upload everything properly then there is no reason to hate on the reviewer cause your files will go through the system smoothly.

if you look at the homepage or search for any therm, you clearly can see that there are only high quality files… which means the reviewers and authors of VH do an excellent job
I hope it gets someday as much traffic as Themeforest, which has as 10 times more daily page views as VideoHive…. and as 10 times more daily visitors

I’m confident we can get there
keep it up reviewers and authors… and buyers

I guess that’s because we’re in an era where everybody wants a website, but not everybody wants video content for a website.
If my calculations are correct though, we’re really beginning to see the realisation of the televisual potential of the internet. In the space of just a couple of years, video cameras have come down in price to a fraction of what they used to cost… indeed, there’s one built in to most cellphones and stills cameras. The quality of these will only improve.
At the higher end of the scale, but still firmly in the pro-sumer market, a shade over $1000 will buy you a Canon 5D which can record cinematic quality images in HD (give or take a bit of h.264). The next step for these cameras is RAW 30fps recording.
So it’s all going in a good direction for video in general and for Videohive to clean up, if it positions itself right for the onslaught.
Watch out Theme Forest!

yea I agree with you Ben, if you see how much video sites there are… Youtube, Vimeo, Virb, Dailymotion, myvideo, myspace video and many more… millions of subscribers, millions of vloggers with all kinds of business or hobbies
once I saw a motion graphic background of VideoHive on TVTotal, a german comedy show with Stefan Raab, you might know him… I’m sure there are more VH files used on TV… I mean specially on TVTotal they do such vids with bold text, or pro7 as example does such trailers for different shows, like next topmodel, sport events and and and…
