I’m going to spend my next vacation with my girlfriend in Barca and would like to some recommendations :)

I like visiting cities in general but while I know a Big Ben in London, an Eiffel tower in Paris, the Reichstag in Berlin or the Charles bridge in Prague I don’t nothing about Barcelona.

We will stay in “La Barceloneta” so the beach is not far away but what’s in the surroundings?

I’ve never really been the one to visit places for their monuments, if it’s got a nice view it’s just a benefit, I normally go for the break and the nightlife to get away from it all and Barca is great for a nightlight! Enjoy your break!

Hey, you should visit “La sagrada familia” church by architect Gaudì, Parc Guell also by Gaudì, take a walk on La Rambla (the main avenue) and Rambla de mar (on the sea side), visit El Barrio Gotico (Gothic neighborhood). Almost all of these places are in the very center of the city…

Gaudi and Rambla are one of the few thing I know already ;)

Hi! I live in Barcelona. I can recommend you to visit all Gaudi master works (Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Casa Batlló in Paseo de Gracia…).

I would also suggest you to visit maremagnum and to stroll along the promenade called “passeig maritim” that is in front of la Barceloneta, where you will stay.

After a very nice walk you will see this hotel where you can enjoy a beatiful sunset in front of the sea:

La Barceloneta is such a centrally situated place so you will reach all the good places effortlessly.

Enjoy your trip! :)

Everything worth seeing in Barcelona is essentially in the old city. Personally, I enjoyed the countryside of Catalonia more, the Basque area is also really beautiful and they’ve got some crazy festivals there with big bulls running over puny humans…

I haven’t been to Barcelona in a few years, but I’ve got some friends in Barcelona, and they say that its not as safe there as it used to be, so take care revaxarts!

/D
