Of course Barcelona can’t compete with Guatemala when it comes to dangers, I mean come on; the former president of Guatemala was convicted for genocide 2013. It’s kind of hard to top that. But for Europe, Barcelona is probably more dangerous than the average city.

Guatemala seems to make some progress, I hope it continues then I’d be able to visit that beautiful country in a decade or so!

To defend a bit the city, even when you have to be aware about pickpockets (like in almost every city in the world if you see it through tourist eyes), Barcelona is such a peaceful place to visit. And if you feel robbed, most probably you will see a bill in a little plate in the table. :)

Yes, beautiful city! If you need some fun go to “Prater”... no, just kiddin’ :)
But Vienna would be nice too, I was there last year.

Now serious: Not too far (maybe too far for what you look for?) from Barcelona is “Peniscola”. A very nice old little town on the sea. The only thing that’s not nice: In the main season way too many buses and tourists…
There’s a train going down there I guess and if you’re there with your own car it should be a nice day trip (make sure the train driver doesn’t make phone calls while driving…).

I wish you great holidays and i hope you have a lot of “relaxarts” !!

Hi! I live in Barcelona. I recommend:

Ah, if you go to the Ramblas, don’t eat on the ramblas! The food is bad and expensive.

Have a nice trip!

I went to Barcelona with my school as a trip for our last year at school and it was amazing.

Some cool places to look out are:

Sagrada Familia
FC Barcelona Stadium
Aquarium
Science Museum

Thanks for the tips, really appreciated!

I know Barcelona isn’t a cheap place but Envato will pay the bill :D

@rakelka Thanks for the great list! Definitely dig into it!

@mariohernandez I think I can see this building from my place (at least on the photos)

@matsteiner yeah Vienna is nice but have been there too often. Prater is also not my favorite (beside the “Schweizerhaus”)

lol…. but “Schweizerhaus” sounds familiar :D
But I didn’t like Prater either… the only thing that was worth the visit was just the nice view from the top of the big wheel ;)
