Hii all, I have recently been having problems with Hostgator shutting down my website. It’s only on a shared server and it seems that now is the right time to move it. My question is – to where?! I have looked at a few places such as MediaTemple and WPEngine but I’m unsure where would be best for me. Does anybody have any advice? I only get about 5,000 visits per month but I plan increase this, with more attention given to free downloads, ads etc. I’m also based in the U.K if that makes any difference? I look forwards to any help, as it’s getting confusing over here!
Try intoVPS.com. The only thing is that it’s unmanaged.
I would also like to hear some opinions on this – I use cloudnext – shared hosting – it’s ok but I think it’s starting to bend a bit under TF weight, I’m thinking of switching to their dedicated hosting as they’ve been good so far, but opinions would be good
TL:DR +1

Thank you, but I think that I need it to be managed at the moment as it’s the first time I’m going to try this. I would die if anything went wrong!
@josweb you get only 5000 visitors per month and still hostgator closed your account?? 5000 means around 165 visitors a day? You sure thats the reason?

They keep disabling it, either to traffic spikes and/or a WP Plugin. They have given me a few different reasons recently! Actually… last month was about 6,500… Still not lots but i also want to integrate my TF previews here too. So that will increase the traffic.
Wow, I didnt know they were so bad. If you are looking for shared hosting may be you can try Dreamhost. I was hosting a website with ~4000 visits/day with them and didnt have any problem.

We use the VMWare Cloud hosting at EUKHost and have very little problems with them at all.
Don’t forget to host static files (such as downloads) with Amazon S3 to serve them insanely quick and cheap.
Mentioning how much you are looking to spend per month on this can help others help you better. And also mention whether you want it to be managed or unmanaged.
