What type of security to I need to implement into a VPS server? I’m new with VPS and want to make sure I have it as secure as possible. I value the opinions of the community here, so that’s why I’m asking you all. What are some good tools to use to know when one of your site’s are down? If you have any recommended info to read, I would appreciate the opportunity to read up to get more educated with this!

Thanks for any help

iptables will suffice, but you’re really considering turning it into some high-end server, give SNORT a go!
