I’ve already joined for the beta and I have a complex car model to publish on this market, but you guys know what the price will be for 3d models? I know that the price depend of the complexity but could be the same price range like flash files ($1 – $40)? And what a buyer can do with a 3d model? You think that will be files with hundreds of sales?

Can’t comment on pricing structure because I don’t totally know for sure. But from what I’ve seen the pricing is pretty good. There’s a light saber model up in the beta that is selling for $15. Not sure where a complex car model would fall in the pricing range, but that may help you get a better idea.

Pricing looks like it is going to be quite reasonable for both authors and buyers. We haven’t seen a very complex model in the beta yet, so just simple models (nice render setups though) which are priced between $8 -$15 so far… only 5 items!

We are at super early stages though, so lots of work to be done.

That’s a mine field of a question, because the responses are going to be passionate and varied.

Personally I think open source is now good enough (Blender) and soon to be easier to use. 3D programs are insanely expensive if you go for any other route, but the resources, communities and work surrounding them are well established.
