If you are searching for a niche topic to blog on then ‘design’ is quite possibly the least niche topic you could have chosen. The web is overflowing with design blogs and if you really want to succeed with it then you need to either choose a different more specific topic or add something the other design blogs don’t.

Try narrowing it down a little to an area of design that you are really into, be that character design, video game design or simply design of magazine headers. Either way, you need to be passionate about it.

If you are just starting out in the world of design then why not blog about that, your progress, your learning, your experiences good or bad but you need to stand out. Try illustrating your progress or adding humour.

Regarding web design, you need to learn more about the basics first. You can start by reading this: Do and donts in web design

Then I suggest googling for some webdesign inspiration examples.

Finally, do not ever use Comic Sans: Ban Comic Sans
