Web Designer and Web Developer: Mac or PC?

Actually.. Windows 7 or OSX Leopard Snow ? What’s better if I want to work as a web designer and developer for themeforest? and why? (the price difference must matter if the answer is a mac!). Right now I’m a PC with windows 7, thinking of buying a new computer with a new license and stuff… what should I choose and why? please help.. Give me your best advice you can if you please… I would really appreciate it…

I dont think working on a PC or MAC makes you good Web Designer or Web Developer, DOnt know what you are really asking for! If youhave money to afford a MAC by a MAC , but you can do the same with a PC, if you don`t understand it by your self the reason why to by a MAC or PC then better i will suggest you stick with the one you have now, later on you might need a MAC

Apple definitely has a hold in design with nativity in Photoshop etc, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with designing and developing in Windows. I personally would never consider switching to Apple, mainly due to their ludicrous prices (for the hardware they use, it’s unbelievable; I just build my own computer w/ Windows) and not to mention the restrictions that come with owning something from Apple.

If I were to ever use OSX though, it would be a Hackintosh.

I use both Mac OSX 10 .6.2 and Windows 7 both synchronized with Dropbox.

I’m on Mac OSX 10 .4, unfortunately i cannot upgrade the operating system because the hardware requires an Intel chip (correct me if i’m wrong), meaning i have to buy a new apple.

I find apple to be sneaky, its like the ipod nano ive got, they have made it so you can take videos but not photographs, so the next model will have this feature but you willl have to purchase a new ipod.

So what if i buy the latest apple, will they make a new operating system that won’t support the hardware..

Kinda lame, but thats business.

Mac all the way for design, none of that “Error Occurred, End Program” sh!t going on with macs.

Just realized I haven’t used a mac in over 6 years. As long as you get a decent setup you’re comfortable with that performs well either platform will be just fine. Would I use a mac again? Of course, I just don’t want to pay for one.
